No, none at all. Please note that xchat is in Universe -- as such, it is a target of opportunity/interest. Upstream has been slow for the last years, and seems to be again gaining momentum; this is known upstream, and was (in 2008, or thereabout) considered to be a potentially major change. Personally, I do not know, I have never looked at xchat's source code.
Anyway: it is a target of opportunity/interest.
