Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: indicator-appmenu

Since around last Friday, I can't use Alt and Control key bindings in
some programs any more. In particular, Alt+1 and Alt+2 (switch between
view modes) and Ctrl+E (edit ~/.gtimelog/timelog.txt in external editor)
break in gtimelog. Also, I have configured right control as Push To Talk
key in mumble, which is now also broken. If you try to set it in the
mumble prefs, nothing happens if you press control.

Detailled reproduction steps:

- install gtimelog
- start a session with global menu (e. g. guest session)
- start gtimelog
- enter "arrived", press enter
- enter "foo", press enter; now you have a logged task
- press Alt+2 to switch to grouped mode, nothing happens when global menu is on
- press Ctrl+E to call editor; nothing happens when global menu is on
