This happened entirely by accident; Scott and I apparently were editing 
this bug at the same time. I've left it up to him to decide who should 
remain the assignee.

Pardon my ignorance, as I don't use mpd; from the output of "apt-cache 
show mpd" I had understood mpd to be merely serving up content, rather 
than actually playing it (like a ShoutCast server), if this isn't the 
case (serves up /control/ of playing the content?), then never mind.
