We're well after our Debian import freeze for this cycle.  I'm not
particularly keen on importing a significant new upstream version in
advance of a Debian upload unless there's a compelling reason to do so;
can it not wait for natty+1, when we would merge it in the normal course
of events?

Artur, I was going to sponsor your original merge from the top of this
bug instead, but the patches you attached were for linux86, not lilo.
Could you please attach the correct patches?
