So gparted constructs the name of the partition device that it expects
dmraid to create, rather than parsing the output from running dmraid to
see the names it chose?  And it uses the rule to only add the 'p' if the
base name already ends in a digit?  It sounds like dmraid should be
fixed to use the same rule and gparted should be fixed to not use the -P
parameter, or gparted should parse the output of dmraid for the name it
uses.
