Public bug reported:
I did a fresh install 18gb partition of jfs for root and 2 gb for swap.
There appear to be no problems running from the live cd portion of the install
and X appears to run fine, but the thing consistently hangs after gdm login
from the installation. I can't extract much of anything useful in the newer
"all gui" environment, but there's clearly a discrepancy between the
installation environment and booting the environment from harddisk.
