@Alex, no, it's not the unity wrapper script:
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10
Package: unity 0.2.46-0ubuntu5
-> We didn't have the wrapper in unity 0.2 under maverick.

In addition, the wrapper is just a tool for development, it's not used
for starting unity in natty on installed system.


@Lars:
Thanks for reporting this bug. However, you are running the maverick version of 
unity which is known to have some technical issues with ATI cards. We try to 
focus to make the best possible experience in natty and we changed some 
technical components from mutter to compiz toi address the ATI card cases. 
However, it isn't possible for us to fix this in maverick for ATI card users. 
Marking the bug as "won't fix" then.
