As mentioned in comment #184 people are getting good results with
kernels prepared for that bug, to repeat what I said on that bug:
In the upstream bug Jesse provides a 2.6.38 based backport of an
upstream fix. I have pulled this into a Natty kernel. Could those of you
affected by the black screen on boot try the kernels below and report
back here. The kernels are at the URL below:
