FYI, bug #574886 seems to have a good workaround now. Looks like many
users experiencing this have AT&T service which has slow DNS servers
which seem to be causing the issue. Configuring AT&T routers to use
google's free DNS server seems to be a good workaround, and hopefully
will help increase my network latency all around.
Damn AT&T... they've now got me thinking of switching to Comcast who I
hate more as a company. Guess I gotta decide which is the lesser of the
two evils. :)
