Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gcalctool
The calculator supports hex, decimal, octal and binary, but does not support
the mixed 60:60 base calculation.
When I want to calculate a sum of, say, 9:30+7:45, I get a "Malformed
expression" notification,
whereas I want to get 17:15.
Please, note that in time calculations, the following formats may be used:
unlimited:60 for hours:minutes
unlimited:60:60 for hours:minutes:seconds
unlimited:60:60.100 for hours:minutes:seconds.hundreds
unlimited:60:60.1000 for hours:minutes:seconds.milliseconds
unlimited_24:60 for days_hours:minutes
unlimited_24:60:60 for days_hours:minutes:seconds
unlimited_24:60:60.100 for days_hours:minutes:seconds.hundreds
unlimited_24:60:60.1000 for days_hours:minutes:seconds.milliseconds
And, finally, sometimes we want to convert days_hours:minutes to, say,
seconds...
PS (Old joke)
how much is 50+50?
a) 100
b) A0
c) 1:40
PS and the way we count time is a _very_ old joke... But everyone is
locked in.
