Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hal

The latest hal version in Ubuntu FTBFS due to being unable to ship an
header. The header which it tries to ship, has been removed from the
linux kernel since the version 2.6.38. Hence, it shouldn't be no longer
shipped. This also led to a FTBFS of the package [1].
