I've created a separate connection in NetworkManager that has "Type" set to "3G (UMTS/HSDPA), in the hope of avoiding fallback to 2G and hence avoiding this problem. Using this connection today, though, I've had the same behaviour: I get a message like this:
Feb 19 11:01:49 sole modem-manager: mbm_e2nap_received: disconnected in /var/log/daemon.log, and the connection stop working but still seems to be live in the NetworkManager applet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/657369 Title: Mobile broadband silently disconnects when switching between 2G roaming and 3G -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
