Public bug reported:
Today I have done the following:
1) run the update with apt-get dist-upgrade
2) installed network-manager and network-manager-gnome
After todays update, dbus seems to throw a segfault when it tries to
start.
First I have removed network-manager and network-manager-gnome with the
--purge option. This did not help, even after a complete reboot the
dbus was still throwing a segfault.
For testing purposes, I have tried to remove with --purge option dbus
with all packages that depend on it. Reinstallation did not succeed.
Dbus throws a segfault:
/etc/init.d/dbus: line 38: 4933 Segmentation fault
As of now, dbus and all packages that rely on it (like hal or volume
manager) are not working on my system.
Regards,
j.
