Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: otrs2

I installed Ubuntu Server 6.10 in hopes to run OTRS2 on it. Using apt-
get, I installed OTRS2. However, the package configuration doesn't do
much. Only changes some permission and thats it. It should ideally do
the appropriate setting for apache, ask what DB the user wants to use,
and make the configuration changes for the particular DB (perhaps also
download and install the right DB version). Essentially, the package
should just work when the user ask apt-get to install otrs2, since this
is UBUNTU where things just work. Even debain package does much of the
job. This is the reason I used Ubuntu and not debian or any other
distribution for OTRS2. If I have to learn the configuration details for
apache, mysql/postgresql, and otrs2, then whats the point? Even windows
version of OTRS2 is just click and install (which includes every thing,
from otrs to apache to mysql). Please help! I don't want to move to any
other OS other than Ubuntu.

Thanks.

Nabil Malik
