Binary package hint: tftpd
I'm using tftpd to make a kernel image available for an embedded device. The
device uses the U-Boot bootloader, which is configured to load the kernel image
from a server.
On the server, I run a tftp daemon under KUbuntu. With in.tftpd from the tftpd
package, this doesn't work. Messages in syslog show that tftpd recognizes the
request correctly, but then terminates the connection without any visible
reason. Installing the package tftpd-hal instead of tftpd solves the problem.
After some googling, I found out that the problem is already known, but
it seems nobody ever filed a bug report against that package, so here it
is.
