Indeed - it appears that the kernel encountered too many errors when
trying to write to your hard disk and gave up in order to avoid causing
further damage. This is often due to a faulty hard disk, and at any rate
isn't an installer bug as such. It may help to check whether the hard
disk is old and in need of replacement, or to move the system to a
cooler environment.
