As alex stated, the new version is based on an entire new technology. However,
this one is developed for natty (11.04) which will be available in a couple of
month.
We are sorry to not be able to fix the issue in your particular case with Unity
in maverick, but we hope that focusing entirely on the new version will enable
us to get a stellar unity experience on natty.
