Comment #5 describes the issue as being completely different from the
text in the original bug report.
If the main problem is a complete system freeze with blinking caps lock
led, then this should not be characterized as bug against update-manager
with /var/log/dist-upgrade/ files attached. It is more likely to be a
kernel failure that by coincidence occured at the time when update-
manager was running.
In that case the 'duplicate' status is wrong and might be removed again.
But then the attached files are irrelevant and the relevant information
(/var/log/syslog and similar files) are missing.
