After plugging and unplugging the Zen in a few times it does now seem to connect. I was a bit surprised at this as I have made no changes to any configuration files. I tried mtp-detect which looked OK so I tried mtp- files and it listed out the files OK. I then did mtp-getfile and successfully copied an mp3 file from the Zen to my home folder. I clicked on the file received into my home folder and it played OK.
So using the command line it seems to be working OK. I tried to do the same sort of thing with Rhythmbox and Banshee but I couldn't get those to read from the Zen to my hard disk. Nor could I get them either of them to play tracks on the Zen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/722632 Title: Can't connect Creative Zen MTP device -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
