So it looks like the first guy got Red Hat going on a Toshiba Satellite with lots of effort fixing the bugs, and the second guy was looking for a new motherboard because his BIOS was dead ? I think a BIOS flash can fix our Toshiba problems - but I think Toshiba should do it !
Btw, Someone sold an M400 on Ebay with Ubuntu 10.4 installed, so maybe that model Toshiba no longer has the BIOS-wrecking incompatibility problem ?
