Binary package hint: ubiquity
I was installing in German using ubiquity from the i386 20070412 livecd.
During final stages of the installation, it told me it was installing
the language pack but this took an unreasonably long time with no change
to the UI. I'm afraid I don't have a screenshot but if I remember
correctly there was no "subsidiary" progress text. There was no
indication of any progress at all.
I suspect that the delay was during the actual download but if there is
any Launchpad transaction involved then the delay may have been due to
the LP operational difficulties today.
