The 2.6.38-rc6 kernel contains a possible fix for this problem. A PPA of this kernel should soon be available at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ This kernel will also soon make it's way into the upcoming Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal", hopefully before alpha 3 on March 3rd.
