Tim, Thanks for the info about the Launchpad builds. Because many people having these ACPI problems will also be using the proprietary nvidia modules (most or all Mac Pro users), or other packages tied to the installed kernel version, we'll be effectively tied to old versions of packages that cross from the kernel into user-space. This will keep us from upgrading any packages higher on the dependency chain, the most common and most commonly changed of which is X. For this reason, we're basically stuck using Feisty beta packages from March 2007 indefinitely for anything tied to the kernel.
