Can you try this please:- Make sure you have a working microphone/headphones plugged into the appropriate sockets
In a terminal:- sudo apt-get install gnome-alsamixer gnome-alsamixer Go to the Edit menu and select Sound Card Properties. Check all the Sound Card Element Names and Close. In the GNOME ALSA Mixer window make sure your microphone and headphones are not muted and has, say, half volume. Now go to Sound Preferences (left click the speaker icon on the top panel or System>Preferences>Sound) Under the Hardware tab check that profile is Analog Stereo Duplex, Input tab set to have a microphone showing as a connector and the Output tab connector set to Analog Headphones. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/715532 Title: the headphones are no longer recognised. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
