In order to try this new functionality I tried the branch bzr branch lp :~unity-team/nux/nux.event-fixes/
Unfortunately, I was not able to use it, as for any reason with this branch the Launcher is not visible at all, and pressing Alt+F1 doesn't provide the keynavmode.
