If you run this in a terminal:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
Does it report the same error?
Also, after attempting that, can you attach this file:
/var/log/samba/log.nmbd ?
You may want to look through the contents of that file and remove
anything you wouldn't want on a public bug report before uploading it.
