Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: indicator-applet

My indicator applet isn't updating with software updates that I have. I
have uninstalled Amarok but yet it lists amarok (I made sure every
amarok entry was removed), also I just installed Banshee and it's not
showing in the applet. Before I remember if something wasn't installed
it didn't show up there and last time I tried banshee it did show up
there. I know it's something with my user because I completely
reinstalled Ubuntu (for a separate reason) and the problem persists....I
think the main issue is finding config files for the indicator-applets
are impossible to find.

Thanks in advance for the hard work.
