It's something you should kind of consider fixing in current Ubuntu
version, too...

And sorry, but closing the bug as invalid just because no user is brave
enough to upgrade their system to latest unstable snapshot (seeing how a
broken thing like dbusmenu is included in stable release) sounds a bit
over the top to me. Especially when all it takes to verify the bug is to
install the poedit package yourself (presumably you do run Natty,
right?) -- this must be perfectly reproducible.

If I sound annoyed, that's because I'm the upstream and I'm tired of
taking blame for Ubuntu's breakages and seeing that Ubuntu devs don't
give a damn about making their non-standard modifications actually work.
(And yes, this isn't the first time something like this happened and
played out this way.)
