after a bit more tinkering, i seem to have stopped the out of range message from displaying,
I investigated further and further into the xserver outputs, and found that it was trying to load the 'wacom' modules, wacom make tablets, and as i dont have one i was very surprised. So i removed the xserver-xorg- wacom that had found its way onto the system, and removed the 'input' from xorg.conf. After an xserver restart, everything seems to be working, im having one or 2 troubles with trying to get multiple xservers to run, but nothing more than that. A suggestion on a bug fix is to check through xorg.conf, and see if there are modules present that are not needed ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: nvidia-kernel-common => xorg -- feisty, display fails when quitting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/99468 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
