I tried to install Ubuntu 10.10 using Ubuntu Windows Installer.Every thing
works fine.I allow Access when firewall prompts. i am using 1 MB dsl,
installer shows about 2.3hrs remaining time when less than one hr remaining
installer shows an error Access Denieded and stops installation.
I tried it on Win 7 and win Xp. Turned firewall off ,turned antivirus off and
tried to install but all in vain.
The long and short is that i tried every thing but it gives same error.
I Installed Ubuntu netbook edition on my desktop system using Ubuntu Windows
installer.It did not give any error and installed successfuly but does not work
properly when in log on.
Meanwhile i tried to install ubuntu 10.10 on my hard disk but ubuntu did not
installed, no error shows every thing works smoothly but in the last phase when
installer copies files to hard disk it seems that installation process is not
going into next phase even i waited for 2 hrs.
I installed fedora 14 on my same system it installed sucessfully and working
properly but tell u what i just love Ubuntu and want to use worlds most famous
and user friendly linux distro:)
I had installed Ubuntu 10.04 using ubuntu windows installer but when i logon
it works properly but produce a rude and rough sound from speakers.When i play
some some music can't listen other that zooooooooooo like sound.
i installed it 3 times using ubuntu windows installer. (10.04)Only once it
worked 3 or 4 days well then produced that sound problem and 2 times it
produced sound problem straight away.Kubuntu 10.4 using Ubuntu windows
installer worked well and i had no problem but i want to use Ubuntu.
And last thing when i try to install ubuntu 10.10 on my hard disk when the
installer starts that zoooooooooo like sound starts .
