There isn't enough info in this bug to decide if this is an issue with
the kernel, dpkg, python-support or iotop.
Do you still experience this issue? If so could you run these commands
while the problem is occurring and give us the output:
ps auxf > ps
grep -A9 aptitude ps
** Changed in: iotop (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Incomplete
