Dale, Chrome is on the Google website as a 64-bit ".deb" available for downloading: http://www.google.com/chrome/ (from a browser on Linux baecause it detects what OS you have.) However, Ubuntu installs a flavor of Chrome called chromium. I believe it has also been in 10.04 and 10.10, but my memory is untrustworthy. It just didn't seem to be kept as upto date as Chrome was, so I have always installed Chrome with those older releases. chromium is installed automatically in 11.04a2, too.
If you tell me to just use chromium (which I have been using because I'm not allowed to install Chrome) and not worry about Chrome, I will obey! ;) I would begin reporting chromium problems, instead. -peter -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/726611 Title: chrome install "The package is of bad quality" -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
