>From what I've read, it most likely has to do with my SATA drive, but
everyone else I've seen having this problem, had it from 2.6.20-8*
through 2.6.20-13, and mine didn't start until 2.6.20-14.
I had just updated/upgraded my computer and it told me I needed to
reboot. When I restarted, the problem happened. However, I believe I
had had 2.6.20-14 for a few days before this occurred. Not sure about
this or not...
My specs are:
256MB nVidia geForce Go 7600GS
Intel Core 2 Duo T7200
100GB Seagate 7200rpm
using a compal hel80 motherboard
I still have the 2.6.20-13 kernel installed and can get onto Ubuntu, but
I have to uninstall nvidia-glx and beryl in order to use the older
version in order to get the xorg-conf to work.
My dmesg and lspci -vvnn logs can be found attached to this bug
https://launchpad.net/bugs/99541 .
