Yes, I also noticed this. Wired networking is up and running, but nm-applet 
indicates otherwise.
Leftclick and select (the already selected) wired network. This re-enables 
wired networking and the icon now correctly indicates networking is up.
Including network-manager output from syslog in case that says anything.
