For what I can see in the logs, it seems that MySQL was not started or it failed to start cause bacula to be unable to connect to mysql.This is show by: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2). Could you please verify first if MySQL is up and running, and you can connect to the database manually. Once you do try to remove and reinstall bacula, or the following to try to reconfigure it: sudo dpkg --configure -a. If the above doesn't work, please remove and reinstall bacula. I'm marking this bug as Incomplete until more information is provided.
