Don't expire this bug because it is still a major issue, I think.  After
I went to 10.04 I got the following errors:

The system was working flawlessly for over a year.  I would be surprised
if both 1TB drives just suddenly started crapping out mysteriously after
an upgrade.  I can't even check for bad sectors because it keeps error
ing out.
