Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: network-manager
Whenever another ethernet device is connected, the live internet
connection drops, as well as all other connectivity to the computer
itself (i.e. ssh, ping, nmap, etc.) Unplugging said ethernet device
resolves the problem. Regardless, two ethernet devices should be able
to be plugged in at once, utilizing both of them for different reasons.
I have tried manually setting the computer's internet ethernet port as
the default, but it seems to always be overtaken by the other port
and/or device.
