Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unattended-upgrades
For the https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/other-foundations-n-update- manager-incremental-updates spec I would like to ask for a exception to include the "Unattended-Upgrades::MinimalSteps" feaure. This allows to perform the upgrade in minimal chunks and thus making it possilbe to shutdown the machine while a upgrade is running with only minimal delay (it needs to wait until the current chunk is installed of course). In order to get it we need to update unattended-uprades to 0.71 (not yet released). Because there is not that much time for natty left I will not enable this feature by default, but by having it it will allow use to get feedback from stable users who can enable it. The code is in lp:unattended-upgrades. I tested this in a chroot and it also has a relatively complete testsuite that includes a full chroot upgrade test. ** Affects: unattended-upgrades (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/729214 Title: FFe for minimal upgrade steps -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
