hey fellows,

i hope that i'm not the only one person who has been that blind for the
obvious...so i tried like nearly everything to get my mouse theme
working on all panels & applications. but the only one thing what worked
for me was to change my theme in appearance >> customize >> pointer (or
appearance >> install >> "look for theme tarball")...after doing that i
had my cursor theme working in firefox and terminal and other
application backgrounds...but not on panels or in the gnomenu for
example...

so what i did was that i finally changed mouse theme in compiz >> General >>
general options after that it worked for me
(even without logout...but i think you have to leave at least the general
options menu...)

so i don't how much other persons tried everything except of changing it
directly in compiz, but probably it could help someone else too.
