I also have the HP nc6230 and can confirm the original bug submission
still occurs on:
~$: uname -a
Linux xxxx 2.6.17-11-generic #2 SMP Tue Mar 13 23:32:38 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
I have to manually modprobe tifm_sd:
~$: sudo modprobe tifm_sd
...before it will mount the card. I can use Stefano Rivera's modprobe
rule and it works for me also.
