jimav, this bug is being closed for the following reasons:

A) Not respecting the one issue per bug policy. You mentioned 5
different issues, 4 in the description, 1 in comment # 6 (which is a
support question that should be redirected to the libreoffice "Ask a
question" https://answers.launchpad.net/df-libreoffice/+addquestion).

B) Each of the 4 issues brought up in the description are too general
and unreproducible without step-by-step instructions:

> 1. A Conditional Format for a cell in a column which is mentioned in
the condition formula via a column name does not work.

> 2. Column names defined without specifying a specific Sheet cause
background-color changes to be only partially rendered in some cells
(no, this is not another fglrx problem! It occurs with the free driver).

> 3. Column names defined WITH a specific Sheet can result in
Conditional Formats to completely stop working after save & reload.

> 4. The above bugs go away depending on the formatting of the cells
containing the value(s) accessed via column names in Conditional
Formats; if the cell(s) have default formatting, the bugs are there, but
changing to e.g. Centered makes the bugs vanish. To clarify, it is the
format of the DATA SOURCE cell(s) referenced in the formulas in the
Conditional Formats which affects whether rendering artifacts occur!

Thank you for your understanding in this matter and please feel free to
re-file with step-by-step instructions for each problem in their own
separate bug.
