michwill, unreproducible in Ubuntu 10.10 LibreOffice Calc via the
Terminal:

cd ~/Desktop && wget
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/482548/+attachment/1887266/+files/example.ods
&& localc -nologo example.ods

Attempt to type something in any cell and window pops up:

LibreOffice 3.3
Document opened in read-only mode.

Tried pasting something copied from another spreadsheet, would not do
so. Can you paste something into this document? If not, could you please
attach to this bug the read-only file that you can paste into?
