Public bug reported:
On a fresh install of Natty a3 on a Dell Vostro 1500 with an Nvidia
8400M GS, the laptop starts booting, plymouth screen appears, but after
"Running /scripts/init-bottom...done" and successful fsck of all
partitions it just stalls - no progress, no messages, no shell. Alt+1
and Alt+7 show the boot messages and plymouth screens. Esc (on alt-7
tty) toggles between the splash screen and the text messages of fsck.
Ctl-ALT-DEL works. Tried fresh installs of both desktop and alternate cd
images, same behaviour. Live cd works fine.
