Public bug reported:
After upgrading from Ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10 various applets do not show up in
notification area:
- nm-applet
- sound
others are not usable:
- screen brightness
Those not showing up *ARE* running and enabled. They just do not connect
to notification daemon.
