Mh, this is quite strange since I didn't noticed this bug when I made the patch, and neither I can see it now... I've just recompiled the package with the patch and both the Ambiance and the other metacity themes work as expected both using unity-window-decorator and the standard metacity decorator... How are you trying the patch?
