Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-sound
I generally have my microphone muted and when I want to run Skype or something, I'd like an easier way to see that the microphone is muted. I think it would be great if there was the option to mute/unmute the microphone from the Sound Indicator (indicator applet on my gnome- panel). Another applet that controls microphone volume is another possible solution, but I think it would be better to add it to the sound indicator. Bug #510846 (closed invalid) makes this sound like it's already implemented, but only shows up sometimes.
