Hello Christian, thank you for taking the time to file this bug report
and help us make Ubuntu better.

It would appear that you have configured squid to use a user that does
not exist.

By default, squid will run as 'proxy' with group 'proxy', but if you
have set

cache_effective_user

or

cache_effective_group

to something else (squid:squid seems to be what you selected above),
then it will try to modify the permissions to match that.

Can you confirm that there is no user or group named 'squid' on the
system?
