Thanks for reporting this issue.
This is the way Unix permissions work, and is to be expected. The first
user you have created in both installations have the same User ID (uid).
They are considered the same user permissions-wise.
If you want to prevent one installation from seeing data in the other,
you need to create new users with a unique UID, or use home directory
encryption that is offered during installation.
