O am using a ZTE Modem USB stick (model: MF 110).
When I connect it and I see in gnome (in the network options - "mobile 
broadband") and I click to connect, the computer hangs. This doesn't happens 
everytime but around every 1 of 10 new connections. 
I have look in /var/log/messages (after reboot) and with a single exception I 
didn't saw any usefull messages. Fortunately, today I noticed that there was a 
delay since I connected until the hang and I saw this in /var/log/messages:
