Public bug reported:

I was doing an online upgrade from Ubuntu 10.10 to Ubuntu 11.04 alpha 3,
upgrade went fine until reboot then computer hangs during boot with an
error concerning EMASK, ATA01, DEVICE FROZEN, DRDY. I have reinstalled
10.10 and works fine. Computer type AMD64, 8 gigs memory, 2 sata
drives, 2 ide drives, dual boot, windows 7 64 bit, Ubuntu 10.10 64bit.
Reading a number of hits on the internet and it seems that there may be
a problem recognizing the sata drives in ubuntu 11.04. I could boot
into recovery mode with limited functionality. Hopefully someone else
will respond with a more detailed report. keep up the good work to all
involved. thanks
